About Nahid

Nahid de Belgeonne, known as “the nervous system whisperer”,  is a Somatic Movement coach, breath and yoga teacher with a passion for sharing the healing benefits of movement. The transformative powers of movement first became clear to her in her teens, when vigorous physical exercise helped her to shift through emotional states.

Nahid has been a pivotal part of the London fitness landscape for 15 years, first operating successful yoga & wellbeing brand, Good Vibes, in central London, then for the past 2 years focusing on private clients and emerging as a thought leader on nervous system regulation. She has a diverse background in the fashion, technology, and publishing sectors. The common thread in her life is learning how to stay agile in an ever-changing environment.
I encourage you to move by sensing what-you-feel rather than being concerned with how-it-looks. My teaching is informed by the latest thinking in neuroscience and teach breath, somatic movement, somatic yoga flow, restorative yoga, and guided meditation with the aim of bringing the nervous system back to balance.

I run an online clinic, The Human Method, teaching an international clientele. The Human Method has been featured in The Times, Elle Magazine, Tatler, Harpers Bazaar, Grazia, ES Magazine, Stylist Magazine among others.

I believe that a  good teacher is one who never stops learning and evolving.  I'm informed by studying various movement modalities including breathwork, Somatic movement and Feldenkrais, restorative yoga, yin yoga, yoga nidra, anatomy & movement, Pilates and conditioning.
I have trained with some of the world’s leading teachers including Garet Newell, Judith Hanson Lasater, Michael Stone and Gary Carter.

My clients diverse range of people, from beginners to athletes, to stressed-out high flyers to those who suffer from chronic anxiety and pain, are recovering from injury or illness and trauma issues. My teaching is informative, compassionate, inclusive, and delivered with warmth.

I teach on the Ekhart Yoga and Movement for Modern Life platform and has taught for The Embodied Lab. I've also served as the yoga expert for Women’s Health Magazine UK and Aveda UK.
